    Shaving door handles?

:smokin: I drive a 86 honda accord lx and it was given to me by my older bro and both of the front door handles broke. So i figured they'll just do it again so I was wondering how to shave the door handles and put a push button opener?

take out your old door handles, trace them onto a piece of sheet metal, cut the metal out, weld them in, and then do the finishing work on it.
Buy a door popper kit and it will come with instructions.

I recommend the SPAL Sil-35 door popper kit. I have it in both of my cars and it is very easy to install (relatively) and is super reliable.

I got them on Ebay for $125 each. They are essentially the same kit as the Autoloc but the solenoids aren't self-grounding. It isn't that hard to put a ring terminal on the black wire and attach it to a ground. The autoloc kits cost twice as much because of that.

    Actually they are cheaper now.
