cleaning the engine compartment

what is the best way to clean out engine departments? It is not real greasy just dirty. What have u guys done?

best way is to pick up some of that engine cleaner foam, you can get it pretty much anywhere. Spray that on and let it sit for a while. Then get a brush of some sort and scrub the area's that are the dirtiest, after you have it all scrubbed wash it off with a hose or something. Make sure not to do this while the engine is hot, and don't drive it afterward until the water has dried.
