i read the faq and everything about the tilt steering wheel thing, and mines broke or something. when i pull it out i cant push it down...it just pulls itself slowly back in if i let go of it.

it's supposed to be kinda stiff when you move it.
Try jigging the wheel up and down ya know.
pull it out and down then try it
i believe thats the first time this has been reported. Your best bet might be to look at pauls site for the shop manual and see if there is anything about the tilt.....im downloading the section i think it'll be in so i'll let you know if there is a fix for it, or at least where to look to fix it.
*edit* see if these help:

Give it a few quick bangs, hard if need be. That's what I did to mine when I got my car. Do it with it pulled out of course, and bang it down so the knob goes toward the floor.
I had to pull it out then use my foot to break to loose by pushing down. It was seized. My first truck had the same mechinism, but it had a tiny lever that did not pull down. It took me 5 years to break it loose.
