hey sorry I missed this one. Yes it only took 1 gallon of paint, but I am using the Urethane paint so it lasts longer. I used:

    1 quart VS6 Sealer
1 gallon urethane basecoat (reduced 1/1 with)
1 gallon 7175 mid temp reducer
    1 gallon 438- Clear coat
    and some activators

i did all the jambs EXCEPT under the hood and I have maybe a quart of paint left. Somewhere around there? and for clear I have almost half a gallon left. I dont know why i put some nice coats on.

My favorite yard charges $1 to get in. Its well worth it. They have wheelbarrels, port-a-johns, handwashing station, all the cars are raised up in the air, and they have set prices on everything so no price gouging. You will pay the same for a BMW, Hyundai, Honda, or a Jaguar part. Oh yea and at any given time they have 2 dozen 3Gs .

Yeah the big one here in Houston is like that but it's $2 to get in plus an extra $1 to get in the late model section (1990 and up) although I've never seen anything past a '94 in there and those are usually Hyundai's. Usually every part there sells for about 10% of new so that's not too bad.

Vinny's got the best one though....They actually let him take his CAR in there! But I'm sure Vinny is an honest person and would never load his trunk up w/ freebies.

ehhhhhhhhhhhhh they quit letting me drive back there. Owner said too many shops are going back there and taking excessive amounts of stuff, go fig. Anyways now they just let me walk back there with my tool bag and I can always go out to my car if I need anything else as far as tools and stuff. They are pretty cool. Of course their prices are a bit on the high side but I still go there just because I can actully roam free and get my own stuff. I usually roam around for a few hrs one or 2 Saturdays out of the mth to see if they have anything new on or anything I may need later on

THOSE BASTARDS! I guess ya knew it was coming one day. Oh well. Some of those guys don't play at the pick-a-parts. I see guys rolling their acetylene torch setups, some with gasoline powered compressors to run air tools. They've got it down to a science almost.

Well, if I come to the meet, do you think I'll be able to pick up a few cool things for my hatch?

Yeah the junkyard is actually pretty good. They had quite a few good cars. It just sucks having to pay to go in.

P.S. Wonder if they have group rates.

The junkyard here is free to get in and you can roam around as long as you want. You just have to tell them what cars you're looking for when you get there so they have an idea where you are.

Miles schmiles. I'm down for an east coast meet if you want to come.

Sorry for getting off topic, Mario do you have any new pics with the bumpers. I wanna see what it looks like all back together with the bumpers and stuff before I can tell if I like it. The color is awesome but the black bumpers may kill it.

yeah, but wash them up, cause the first one you did with the bumper was kind of dirty lol.I do like the color though, escpecially the fact that those sexy tail lights match the rest of the car now .

Looks good but the tails are just bad IMO. Maybe if you did it clean by filling it in would look ok. I wouldve just left it alone. Like the color though.
