Air bypass filter on ebay anyone used this?

Alright since I will be running a CAI and my Ram air setup I will need another air bypass valve. Except I don't really want to pay $50 for an AEM one. Does anyone know if these are the same thing or are even good?

I also found this CAI with that same bypass valve. Let me know what you guys know or what you think I should do.

could you not make one? just curious because we use valves like that in plumbing and such all the time. isn't this what your doing?

Well I wanna keep it small and neat. Oh I just saw your sig. Ask A20A1 about the weber kit b/c his was made for his auto. And he has it for a killer deal. $160 with intake manifold and 1" spacer. It's a great deal.

i was looking at that the other day. i am working on custom intake right now. i don't know how good it would be because it is open filter design so it may suck some hot air. i am gonna go with AEM one.

I bought one and if I like it I will buy another to match. I might even buy a new intake so I can have matching intakes since I will have 2. I had this idea when I first became a member and people thought it was a dumb idea, but now that an actual company makes the adapter I was going to make it's cool. But, I'm doing this b/c I thought it would be a nice performance increase over a year ago. I wanted to be the first to have a CAI on my weber and I was the first with the airbox and intake I have with mine now. I just like setting the records for spending way too much money. I just want all you weber 32/36 carb owners to know I will be selling my old intake setup and that will include the carb adapter piping I have and filter. (New filter) I will probabaly sell all of it for $65 or so...

since were on webers again , exactely what is the power increase with a 32/36 i may buy that one if its noticeable. [eventually]

i have a CAI without the air by pass valve, but the filter is placed right near the box frame with its front facing the front of the car under the fog light covers. What i did was use a regular tin sheed and put it right in front of the filter so that the water being splashed would not be sucked into the filter. BUt i guess its kinda taking my chances, but here in NJ all i have to worry about are snow and rain which seem to linger around winter. and for the other months, i am back with the CAI.

You shouldn't put these on, we've tested them on the accords around here in the club and the bypass valve eliminates the use of the CAI for cold air. Now the bypass pulls in hot engine air and mixes it with the cold air, warming it up. I would suggest just cutting the pipe, connecting the two pieces together and then you can switch from CAI to SR during rainy/winter seasons.... Just my two cents.

I have a carb so hot air really doesn't matter. I will have to intakes running. My ram air from the scoop and from the bumper. I'm sure my aem air bypass valve gets a little air in but at least it gives me peace of mind about my motor.
