fuel pump

Yeah yeah yeah, i know it is another question about fuel pump.
My fuel pump is starting to ask weard again. it died on me last year. i changed to one from autozone. so now it starting to do the same thing. sometimes my car runs great with now fuel starvation and sometimes it coughs when i between 2000-3000 power band. it is like it doesn't get enough fuel or something.
and i know it is not my fuel filters. i change them when i changed my pump.

so here is the question can it be that my pump is going dead or something else? does any one makes a good pumps for carbed cars?

i am also concern about my spark plugs. they are running hot. everytime i take them out for inspection, they are white color. and it is sign for advanced timing (with i have on my car) or it is too hot.

What kind spark plugs should i get to run them colder?

What do you guys think about iridium spark plugs?

i would change the fuel filters anyway ! i change them every year regulary ! they don't cost much !

about the spark thing ! i think white means lean or rich mixture ( air /fuel )
my car had a problem in its power band ! 3000 > 4000 ! so it was the sparks + wires ( they were still the originals ! ) and the air fuel mixture wasn't set correctly ! try adjusting it using the idle mixture screw located behind the carb !

yeah i think white is lean, thats how mine looked when my pump broke.
