    Exhaust flanges?

Search comes up with nothing though this has been answered a few times... where do I purchase exhaust flanges for an aftermarket cat? I need em for 2.25" pipe.

Can I use the stock cat's flanges and just weld em on?

I got my 2.25 flanges and gaskets from this guy on ebay. You will have to call him so look for the number on this page. I got them for 15 shipped.

The laregest you can bore out the stock flanges on the stock cat is about 2".

You can probably find the large triangle flanges for the rear of the cat.

For the front your stuck with what you got unless you get a set of aftermarket flanges. No one makes a that strange shaped square/triangular flange.

Plus remember if you go bigger than the 2" the stock crush ring will no longer work. you will have to play with silicone type gaskets or find some you can modify.

why don't you try tracing out the outline of the flange, and get it custom made? i was going to do that for the test pipe i got, but i have no time to take it to the shop to get out the rusted bolts for the heat shield and 3 bolts right after the cat.

or just do your original idea, and use ur stock cat or some extra cat, and cut off the flanges and weld it on.

unless you are doing your own custom work, i would say give it to a shop and they will take care of you. I got mine done and they used 2.25" flanged on my universal cat and the cat back. it perfectly matched the flange on the DC header and they are OEM specs by the way.

IF you are doing your own custom work. We can find universal flanges in either Autozone, Advance Autoparts or even Pep Boys. I think i have seen one in Pep Boys for around 5 bucks or something. You might need 3 of em tho. Two for cat and one for the cat back. Unless u want ur cat back welded onto the cat.

just go to www.jcwhitney.com and order some. they are cheap. you can get the gaskets from pretty much any parts store. anyplace that deals with v8 stuff will have what you need. try to find a redneck autoparts store.

2.25 on the one to the left, 2 on the one to the right. I wanted 2.25 on both but that's all he could get me. I got graphite gaskets for both of them with the order.
