    Exclamation GRRRRRRR!!!!! Bad suspension.

Yeah, so i pulled up to a stoplight today and when i went, my lower ball joint fell off, kinda making my wheel look funny and stuff. After getting it towed, i dont know what to do. Anybody have this happen, is there a way to prevent it from happening again?

get a MOOG ball joint.. by far the best maker of suspension parts followed closely by Spicer... i have seen that happen too many times at werk... some guy was goin 40MPH and his lower fell off on his accord... scraped the bottom right off the BJ and ripped his month old CV shaft aprat... of course there was NO warentee cuz he chose to put a 15 dollar lower ball joint instaed of a 25 dollar MOOG... so now he's out a 70 dollar CV shaft, has to buy a new 25 dollar moog BJ and pay for all the labor again...

what you had was prbably a cheapo "white box" ball joint... get a nice one and throw it in her... make shur you grease it when you change your oil... check the other side and if its greaseable, maybe you should lube it up now before any more problems arise...

damn that was a huge post

I have a couple of Moog lower balljoints I could sell to you, They are not difficult to replace just time consuming. I just did my lower BallJoints along with some other needed maintance. Used TRWs with lifetime warranty.LOL

Interesting. I found out that the NHTSA has a recall out on Moog ball joints for our cars: http://www.safetyalerts.com/rcls/nht...t98/98e031.htm
That was a few years ago. I still trust them though. They make some hardcore stuff.
I baught some for another vehicle from www.rockauto.com

the repair company called today, 262.50 for the ball joint, 265.00 for the axle and 80.00 for the alignment. Along with the tow bill, this comes to about 750.00, im wondering if im getting ripped, and if i could repair it on my own for less green.

    defently call somewhere else...
axle can be done in teh back yard, alignments are usually like 50 bucks, and you could probably find a place to do the BJ for like 150-200 bucks

    call around...

You could get the OEM Honda part from Honda. It last 15 years before, why not put the same thing back in?
