    Holley Pro-Jection 1d 300fm TBI

hey guys i think im going to install a Holley Pro-Jection 300cfm stand alone system. I know im going to have to get a new intake manifold and custom fab the bold pattern onto the intake. What are ya'lls opinions? It looks like it could work with little problems. I live in San Diego so i have to deal with emissions crap, but i was thinking of having a "hot" setup with the TBI system, and then keeling the old system with my carb so i can bolt it back on when i have to get smogged. Anyway let me know what you think...or if you know anyone that has done this!

with very little mod, you can adapt the stock intake manifold.
    1. use dremel to make openings bigger for holley.
    2. after you remove the stock carb studs, use alumaloy to fill the holes.
grind it to make it flash.
    3. buy 2bbr holley adapter. drill and tap 4 new holes.
    4. atach the plate and carb.
    5. fabricate the linkage.
    6. setup software.

it is very easy to adapt the holley, it is very hard to port the intake manifold for holley.
i don't know how hard would it be to tune this setup.

well the plan is to get a used intake from the junk yard and make a template from the TBI. Then grind the honda manifold to match it up. Then i was going to get a throttle body spacer to give it a little more kick. As far as porting and polishing, it shoudlnt be too hard. I have a dremel and all the nessacery attatchements to port and polish with. It comes with an ECU which can be dialed in, so i was going to take it to my friends shop that has a Dyno, and get it on there to do the final dialing in. Again, any input is appreciated.

ok here are some changes, and im REALLY going to need some imput. ok to save money i think what im going to do is go to the salvage yard and pick up a 2 barrell TBI unit off of an S10 or Astro Van. im assuming that since an Accord with FI uses 4 250 cc injectors (940 cc total) that ill replace the injectors on the TBI unit with (2) 50 lb/hr injectors (971cc total), and also get all the sensors off the S10 while im at it, then just order the Holley projection ECU seperatly. Im thinking this will be more cost effective...just let me know. Also what if i get a GM ECM unit, can it be reprogrammed to work on an Accord??

If you're going to use injection, sequential or phase sequential multiport is the way to go. Otherwise it isn't really worth it. You gain some tunability and don't have the flow restriction of a venturi with TBI, but you still don't have the cylinder to cylinder accuracy and fuel atomization of multiport. That's just my 2 cents. I would just save a little more, and then do a legit smoggable multiport setup.

I would just get Sean's GM setup. it is better and you can reprogram it later if you need. plus it is cheaper compared to Accel or Holley stand a lone management systems.
