    MSD 6A, 6AL or SCI?

Which is best for both price/performance? Also does anyone have the howto for installing one of these? The image in the howto section is offline.

the how to has been back online for about three weeks now.
IMO MSD is crap. it is not digital. http://www.cranecams.com/whatsnew/compare.htm
    MSD is overpriced and overhyped.
So far i have narrowed down a selection between crane cams hi6,
jacobs electronics, B&M ignition, or my favorite Accel ignition.

Yea most MSD boxes put out a lot of electro magnetic interfearance. So if you like your cell phone and stereo go digital.

Electromotive is the best performing from what I have read/heard, but also very pricey. What are your plans for your car? Lots of HP? If the car is injected, you don't need aftermarkter ignition unless pushing 300+hp, otherwise stock/NGK stuff is good. If you are carbed however, ignition is a good upgrade with lower hp.

I like Jacobs electronics stuff. I bought an ignition kit WAY BACK for my cavileer and I was happy with the results!

The price of the stuff is SO espensive though. Do you guys know of a kit that gives you the most bang for your buck?

    ignition

i have in my car which is race spec everything with twin 45 dcoe webers std ignition module and dizzy with uprated coil and direct hits wires and capacitor modules, their not cheap for a set of leads but compared to full ignition setups their pretty good value and also they really do work! the extra torque i got was incredible not much extra bhp and revs actually dropped a few hundred rpm but the allround low and mid torque really impressed me, also the exhaust emissions really were good too helped pass u.k test with race cam still in place, but what really surprised me was the extra fuel economy! on average cut through a tank of fuel in about 150-200 miles now does 200-250 most the time!! quite shocking and even managed a 315 miles on a complete tank before running dry and having to get the jerry can out! that really shocked me especialy as i was running at 85-90 most of time in fact when i slowed down to 50mph after i had broke clutch disc again it became less economical but didn't want to risk disc disengaging and falling apart!

I like MSD and have yet to see anyone have any problems and most of my friends use them. I will be getting another SCI or BTM for my set up depending on what engine management i use.

Interference can be dealt with without a problem... proper grounding and a good condenser fixes that.

goto cardomain and do a search under my net name, you might be a little surprised though cause it might be a honda and has a A series engine but affraid its not an accord! although looking into getting possibly an aerodeck but what i would like is a 3g accord coupe i really like the shape a lot but in the u.k all we ever had was the 4 door with fixed headlights, and the aerodeck 3 door estate with pop up lights. but mines a real beauty and is real clean plus seriously light only thing that puts me off a 3g accord would be the extra weight, i have so many spares from boxes to panels etc. plus all the engine and trannies are all swappable as well as most of suspension i could even swap over my big brake concersion onto an accord without any worries.

what i like about carbs is the simplicity and reliability! i have complete box full of dcoe jets, air correctors, choke sizes etc that i can do all my own tuning anywhere i want, at the ack or outside my house!

    Lude

    yep thats my baby!
oh just remembered another good ignition mod!
uprated coil, stock ignition is electronic and is pretty good so leave alone, set of good quality wires magnecor, splitfire, etc and a set of non-resistor plugs bosch make them, they are cheap as nails and more effecient, just make sure engine block has beefy ground straps. as they have no resistance they put out a stronger spark!
as for my brakes i think they are the best mod i've ever done! i think its also one of the best brake setup on any old honda out here! as brakes potentially save your life and car from very nasty accidents i kinda went mad on them, only restriction was i had 15" wheels but they still managed to squeeze 300mmX28mm discs in with a 4 pot caliper which was specially designed for race cars.
check out www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk the calipers are designed and manufactured by themselves and are better than a lot of dearer calipers!
