    Mounting question

My friend's dad has this crazy machine from the 70's that mounts tires using air pressure. I watched him use it to mount my tires and it works really slick.

My question is: Would 16 or 17 inch rims take special equipment to mount tires on? the machine works by moving an angled bar around in a circle...
I don't know if this is enough info for anyone to comment on, but I hope it is.

Has anyone mounted tires on their 16 or 17 inch rims themselves? Are there any complications with Low-profile tires?

    Thanks

It depends on the machine. All machines are kind of like what you describe with air pressure and the bar that goes around the lip of the rim to install and remove tires. The huge tires trucks use are a little different since the diameter is so large. Normal machines can handle 17" with no problems.
