I didn't want to bump the other thread from the depths of the marketplace, so I'm putting another one up. As you might be able to tell, I'm selling my 3g. The car is a Montreal Blue Metallic (b35-m paint code) 1986 Lx-i sedan with a 5spd transmission. I bought it with 142k miles from the original owner who was a high school english teacher- this was 4 years ago. Now has 179,xxx miles on it. The work that I've done to my car is as follows (all mostly within the last 2 years):
Replaced:
Oil Pan gasket
Oil filter housing gasket
cv joints (both sides)
upper ball joints (all 4)
valve cover gasket
axle seals
combination switch
brakes (rotors, calipers, pads) done last year
new battery (1 week old)
When I got the car, the clutch had recently been replaced and the previous owner said the timing belt had been done recently as well.
Mods:
H&R springs 1.5 inch drop
tokico struts
dc sports strut bar
polyurethane sway bar bushings (just the endlinks)
TSW Imola 16x7.5" wheels (x5) and toyo proxes fz4 with one spare tire
4 stock wheels and tires with GREAT tread are included as well
Panasonic Cd Player (DFX400U)
Alpine speakers x4
Armrest (very rare for 86-89 accords)
pacesetter catback exhaust
ractive dual tip stainless muffler
generic intake
spark plug wires
aluminum guage bezel
dynamat around rear 6.5' speakers
Two sheets of dynamat across back of rear seat to dampen noise from exhaust
Dyanamated a couple sections below trunk carpet
Diamondback h4s and ricer blue bulbs :-P
Given all the work I've done and the fact that I'm throwing in all the wheels and whatnot, ideally i'd like to get about $2,500 for it, but I'm defintely open to offers. This car is in EXCELLENT shape, really a great running vehicle and it has been babied, really babied; basically it's been my love affair for the last 4 years and I've treated it with the utmost respect (granted there are a couple of small things that could be fixed). But now, it's just time to move on to my new GTI.
Engine pic does not show new spark plug wires or DC strut bar.
Alex
