nevermind, im thinkin "air-cooled", but it does kinda look like a shaddy forced induction system though.....thanks anyway.....interesting motor
Thats the engine form a 69 or so Honda 1300E
four-cylinder, air-cooled, crosswise inserted, OHC, 2 valves for each cylinder, Keihin carburetor
Compression 9.0: 1
Achievement 100 HP
Unloaded weight 860 to 895 kg
Maximum speed 175 km/h
further technical characteristics: quadruple Keihin carburetors in 99 and 99S, in front disc brakes, in the back drum brakes, alternatively 4 speed manual or a 3 speed automatic
Got any more screwed up questions? I love searching.

wow honda made a whopping 20HP uncrease from the 1969 1300e to the 1989 A20a3 now thats something to brag about there
Yea, especially since they increased the displacement from a 1.3 to a 2.0 litre. And added another intake valve and PGMFI. I'll stack this in the pile of why carbs are not inferior.Originally Posted by Vinny

Yeah and the 1300 gave up 700 cc as well. Think about the carb engines, there was no increase w/ that extra 700 cc. But there was the clean air act and there were a lot of emmisions requrements passed on the way to 1989. I imagine that alone would make up for the power right there. Not to mention the 1300 had those 4 carbs I imagine that would help a bit w/ it's pep.

I's a bike engine they beefed up and shoved into a car. I believe they even had a chain drive between the engine and tranny in the early ones.

Carbs are definitely not inferior... I've puzzled many people with mine and it is the original. All it takes is some tuning and you can pull out A LOT of power with a stock carb. All with the twist of a screwdriver.![]()
