Unhappy Tranny gone? or rebuild possible?

    Ok.
I admit. i have been rough with it...
87 lxi (do they even come in 5speeds?) auto.
yesterday... spark plug wire #3 came off while driving... so engine started missing BAD. ... then tranny grinds going 35 mph all while missing. ... tranny disengages... revves REALLY high. and catches and car jolts.... put into D3, and its ok. (4th is gone now.) call dad... he tells me the usual that i deserve this cause of how i treat the car... *CLICK*
Hes right i know it. ok so i just wanna get home and park it. missing/slipping really bad still.

OK. PARKED. I smell alot of burning SUBSTANCES. rubber/oil/TRANNY.
checked tranny fluid, fine. engine oil fine.
Saw spark wire. DOH! put back. started car. idles nice now. get ready to leave. Reverse. ... Reverse....... REVERSE. Uh... no. dont think so not in a million years. I now have 2 neutrals. yikes. sooooo....
    P Minor grinding
R Only gear that i dont have noise in... cause ITS NOT THERE.
    N Minor grinding
D4 Well... i have it! but barely moves. And loud grinding when i shift into it.
D3 I use this to move. Loud grind into it.
    D2 Same as D3

R gone 4 gone 3 fine 2 grind and some slipping when moving 1 slipping and grinding constantly.

Just buy another transmission. It won't be as expensive as you think it is, unless you plan on having a shop install it for you.
