I have checked into this but I didn't find too much info on it eiter. I'm waiting for my vac. gauge still, damn store its been 9 days. I want my damn gauge!

But all you will have to do is hook the vacuum line that is usually included to a vacuum port. I'm putting mine on my intake manifold. You can probably put it on the intake hose somewhere. Then there will be a positive and a negative wire for the gauge lights if there is any. Some have them some don't. (Note: this is for a mechanical vac. gauge.)

whats the point of a vaccum gauge anyway? why would you care how much vacuum there is?

Well if you don't care how your engine is performing then don't get one j/k

It helps detect vacuum leaks.
Makes sure that you have a good amount of vacuum pressure in the motor. (If your vacuum is low that could mean a few things... Leak, Excessive blow-by, and more.

if you have a vac leak, you will hear it... you have gotten by thus far with out one, so why would you add one now? if your lookin for a vac leak, hook a gauge up under the hood when you need it... i think its a USELESS gauge!! and a mad waste of money.. priority would be water temp, air fuel, oil pressure and fuel pressure...(but the first 3 are needed most)

i agree with DXHATCHBACK. I just rode in my friend's GS-R, which has a vacuum gauge. the thing didn't move a nanometer the whole time. whoop-dee-doo.
if he was smart, he would have Oil pressure, since he already has temp in the stock cluster, and A/F in the gauge piller.
then again, if he was smart, he wouldn't have bought APC gauges... maybe that's why they dont move??

Why not just get a handheld vacuum pump with a guage on it? It will tell you manifold vacuum when you have it connected, you can troubleshoot the emissions box or bleed the brakes by yourself with it. Mine has definitely earned its $30 back.
