    Tomb of the unknown mods

Post pics of your cool, yet not very known 3g mods. Basically easy to do mods that not many people really know about.

    86-89 Integra headrests

Shaved door locks, just get some rear door handles and bolt them to the front. No cutting, no special work. (Better have keyless though)

    Post away

Would that work on Hatch doors too?

I know it's not a 3g specific mod but it's about all I got. How bout Shaved Headrests?

I don't care who hates them, I like them. If you were to see a profile view of the interior I think you would too b/c the front seats become the same height as the rear.

having no headrests is asking to get your head ripped off. The first time you get rearended wil probably be your last.......it looks alright, but i prefer to walk over a cleaner look.

C'mon Dibbs, I know you are smarter than that. It does look good, but dangerous.

Aww Caleb, It ain't that bad. It's just whiplash. A chiropractor can take care of that in a couple of sessions.

Yeah, I'd say if I get rear ended over 30 MPH, I'd be in trouble. But ya know, so would anyone else w/ headrests or not. Conventional headrests will prevent the severity of the whiplash effect, but they still flex back upon impact which can lead to neck problems as well. The newer Mercedes and Audis have corrected this problem with headrests that "cradle" the head upon a rear end collision and all but eliminate neck strain. But don't worry about me Caleb, the 3rd gen is going up on the shelf soon enough anyway for an "Extreme Makeover". The only time I'll be in it after that is when I'm on the track or in a show.

I also have a power sunroof on my coupe. It was a dealer installed item at the time of purchase and was put in by C&C of Brighton, MI. It is almost identicle to the factory sunroof that I had in my two previous 88 LXi sedans, but it has an additional "vent" feature that tilts the back of the roof upward to let out air without letting in rain, snow, etc.

Sabz, I gotta hand it to you on the front door handle thing. That's a pretty clean little mod there.

    How 'bout my dash insert.
    Clear corners.
    Side markers.
    626 Front lip
    Integra headrests (thanks Steve)

Pics are a pain with dial-up, so I'll post the pics up tomorrow morning.

    ...much love for that sidepipe.

i think you should start producing those dash inserts. Its pimp! I have no need for a flat surface on my dash anyway.

I saw a tan 90-93 integra interior that matched my tan interior (89). It would match the pattern on the coupe/hatch seats perfectly, but not the sedan pattern seats (but you could always swap the front seats like I did, but then the front and rear doesnt match, but the better seat is worth it to me).

I just got myself a pair of 90-93 Integra headrest (blue)

The fabric pattern doesn't match my seat but I'll check if it still looks good anyway. If not, I'll get another pair of Accord headrests and get the Integra ones reupholstered.

You need the Accord Coupe seats because the fabric on those are different and they match the Integra pattern PERFECT.
