    Lude II Euro B20 Question

    Hallo 3geez community!

    And I have a 2 Q to you:

    1. Does the Lude 2gen B20 stuff fit the 3g Accord?
I mean not B20A itself. What about axles, engine mounts, tranny...
Or I still need these B20A-"friends" from Accord B20A?

    2. What is the power of EuroB20A from 2g lude? Again only 136 hp? Or same as Accord JDMB20A?

    thx
    I like this board!
Sorry for no "sorry for my English" in this message...

Hey I bombed your city in a Video game once.

The Prelude B20 is differant. You could make it fit with a lot of work. Custom mounts and axles. Its not really worth it in my opinion.
The Accord B20A is a better option. You can drop it right in. You will need the mounts, axles, ecu, wiring harness, etc...

If you are interested in the B20A check this out

All the older B20s have between 130 and 140 HP from what I have seen.

from what I have read the euro B20a will bolt in as a direct replacement as the other JDM B20a. Yes it is limited to 137 HP but thats still better than the 120 stock in the LXI form. If you read the sticky at the top of this forum about the B20a swap by carotman its all the same

As I understood from all stiky and non stiky messages on 3geez board the _III_ genLude_ (88-...) B20 is a problem. But not a _II_ genPrelude (...-87) B20A!

    Am I wrong?!

The 2nd gen Prelude (84-87) had a B20A? Thats news to me. Over here it had the A18 or A20.
It should work fine then, I don't see why not.

Yeah you'll be fine. The tranny, motor, rear motor mount, and axles should all work. The front motor mount is diferent between the 3g accord and 2g prelude, but otherwise the engine bays are almost identical. I believe the big diference between the euro b20a and jdm is the cams. I believe aerodeckuk (may not be the proper username) converted a european b20a to jdm spec and made some posts about it. I don't think he is on the board any more.

Euro B20 only had 137hp. look at paul's website http://www.pauldesign.ru/honda/about.html
the tranny should fit euro or JDM style motor.
if you want more power, i would say go with JDM motor. call some one in Vladivostok and they may be able to import one for you.

Hi. I'm from Poland, and I'm interested in b20 too.
as I've read here b20's from 2gen preludes are the ones for us.
but not the newer ones, from 3g preludes 87 and above???

I do not not that will it fit an accord.... but maybe there is easier to find a sedan accord with 2,0i - 16 mark on the back... they should be the b20...
with axles, ecu and all the stuff - a bolt on ;-)))

so what can I say, look at it, and try. and tell us that it fits or not.

as for power euro b20 are 135HP at 6200rpm, and only 87 and up...
i've got no info from pre 87.
    so good luck.

you a right! Easiest way is to find here a B20AEuroAccords, but "only" with 136 hP.
But I'm looking for 160Hp B20A. That's why I ask about ?hP of EuroB20APrelude2gen. And now I see the EuroLude2-B20A is not my choise...

I think that there can ba a problem to find 160HP B20s in Europe.
As far as i know only 160HP are 1,6 vtec from CRX...
the 135HP from euro spec b20s is good, and I think it's a nice base for upgrade. as You could read here You can put a Vtec head on it...
and thats an improvement :-)), I think that there cant be much differences bettwen JDM, USDM and euro b20. I believe there is a simple way to make euro 135 to 160 HP. Maybe euro has some vacum lines and black boxes ;-) , maybe some other stuff, or less agresive valves ratios... there has got to be a simple way :-). I would go for 135HP and just tune it up :-) but im short with cash, and got rusted body, so... i've got another things to think of...
good luck, tell me if you find this 160HP b20 in europe
