OK here is the deal 88 accord EFI when my car warms up it does one of 2 things 1 it either goes between 1000-200 fluctuating or 2 starts at about 1200 then goes to about 1700 and back down ect. The plugs wires PCV fuel filter fuel pump pressure are all fine I have a new IAC and get no codes all the vacume lines are hooked up. I have tried 2 sets of injectors same results. I have an extra fast idle valve from the bone yard it is the next thing I will try but any way what do you guys think.
Im thinking its the fast idle valve, but I have a carb so thats just a guess.
Is your ECU giving you any codes?

1988starter check idle screw on top of the efi and if its loose turn it in thats what mine was doing and that was the whole problem.

Nope Idle screw is not loose and I have tried ajusting it many times

Ok I put in the 10 dollar junkyard fast idle valve and it works again Yey. I am happy now. I had to turn my idle way the hell down after It got all warmed up but it is ok. Now I am just waiting for my JG throttlebody to come in the mail
