I have just finished my 5 speed swap and I want the manual temp/fuel gage or the whole cluster i dont care. I would like it if it came from a 88 coupe but it may not matter. The needles must faceinward. Also they must be in great working order. The gauge i got, the temp gauge was bad. it would shoot up to overheat with the key in the run position but not started. i know the auto gauges worked great and never go tthat reading before
Hmm thats odd i wonder why you had that problem i know a bunch that did the 5spd swap with no problems at all. I have an 88 or 89 cluster but it came from a junk yard so i cant say it works for sure. I was going to swap mine out but just got the procarparts white face gauge set so i dont see the auto indicators. But if you need one i have it.
how much did you want for it? I dont want the auto indicators either.
I will give you both for $30 shipped i have that one i told you which is in good shape and Justins old cluster i bought for his gauges but didnt like them so you can use it for parts if need be. I know i paid $35 for the junkyard one but im not going to use it now that i have the overlays in my car so might as well give them to a good home. What do justins gauges look like
Cool i will put it in an oversized padded box. So far i have not gotten any customer complaints but i overpack as much as possible. When i worked for Audi/Porsche i was lucky to have a day without getting a broken part. One time we had to order a door glass for an A8L and they have the rubber inside and i swear 5 of them came cracked but thats not to say it didnt happen when it came in from germany.
Justin made basically what procarparts has now way back then but he had to paint them and hand cut everthing so its not pretty. But i give him credit for doing it but im sure the gauges work fine and you can take his overlays off and have another stock cluster but best for parts.
