When I got my tint, the guy was telling me how the 3g sedan back window is one of the hardest to do. I had bubbles in it, and he said they would go away... and they did. It's looked perfect for almost a year now.

    Exclamation

I wish I could go back to my 20%. They made me take THAT out because I had 20 all around and here in Louisiana the law is 35.
Now I have garbage 35% on the doors and 20 on the rear and front brow

Just wondering on average, how much it costs to get all your windows tinted?

there are three kinds of tint:
cheap tint that is about $69 bucks; the tint starts to fade in about a year or two (which i doubt you don't want)
average tint that is about $120-140 bucks; tint doesn't fade; or at least that's what the guy at the tint shop said
expensive tint that is who knows how much; the silver mirror looking tint, colored tint: blue green red

most of us spend about $140 bucks on tint. talk to the sales person at the tint shop(s). normally they cut off a few bucks or so.

95?? That would be like almost totally clear. As for type, all you need is a good reputable brand metalized tint (not dyed). The high end stuff is more for functionallity (eg:efficiently rejects heat and UV rays even though it's clear).

95% would be like 5% in NORMALVILLE! not cracktown USA like where Neuspeed007 lives... ur guy rates it by how much is blocked... not how much can come in

If I'm not mistaken, the % relates to the amount of light allowed through the window with the film on it. Like, a regular untinted window is like 95-100%, but the darker you go, the less light is allowed through.

Just for the record, I got 20% on the back 3 windows, and 35 on front 2. Had a 20 on the front upper, but that went with the windshield.

any tint will turn purple if you wash the windows with WINDEX or any other window cleaner that has amonia in it. The only glass cleaner I use on my windows is ClearView.

The amonia works as a bleach on the tint. The purple-izing also is due to low quality tint that's usually dyed, and is not UV protected, so the sun also bleaches it. Mine was 135 almost 3 yrs. ago now, and it's still just as black as the day it was done. ('course I only did the inside windows once sinse I got it done.)
