I recently took all the carpet out of my car for cleaning. I had to un hook the seats, ecu, and some strange black box. I forgot to put it back in (I kinda forgot where it went!) What does this black box do? My car doesn't seem to run any different w/out it.

which side did it come out, driver or passenger side.
under the driver seat there are EFI brain, and power window control unit.
under the passenger sit there are Emission soleniod valve control unit and power door lock control unit.
that is about it.

to go along with carotmans post, check if your car still does that annoying ding sound if your doors are open and the keys are in...the box he's talking about controls the sound and the sidemarker lights.
