4th Gen Tails on a 3rd Gen?

I know there are no "custom" tails available for our cars. what I would like to know is (since this "new" search feature is crap), has anyone here ever tried (& succeeded) to install 4th Gen Tails on a 3rd Gen? I can get a set cheap from either eBay or through one of my suppliers (90-91 Honda Accord Carbon Altezza Tail Lights OR 90-91 Honda Accord JDM Black Tail Lights). I already know that some modifications has to be done of course. Question really is "How much modifying?" The body side looks fairly straight forward to do....it's the trunk side I'm having issues with as to what really needs to be done to make it look good.

ryansaccord (or something like that) did it and it looked pretty good...not sure how much work, but i'd count on quite a bit
