Does anyone know if these two are related? I've checked the fuses and kinda spliced the wires for the headlights, but my reverse lights are still dead.... bulbs are okay and fuses are good too.... any ideas?

What kind of work did you do to the electrical system that would require you to splice wires for the headlights?
did u hook up a fog light or something to your headlighs?
anyway, do u have an AT or a MT?
It might be just bad wiring nonetheless unless u swapped the engine bay harness or something. Anyway, give us more details and we might be able to let u know.
Check both ur fuse boxes, the one in ur engine bay and one under the dash.
If the reverse light on the passenger side works then you have a broken wire on the drivers side reverse light. measure both the positive and ground side to determine which one is broken. They have nothing to do with your headlight circuit. Could be a bad socket as well but you need a voltmeter to check this out.
