My First 89 Accord Coupe (sorry 56k)

This was my first 89 accord coupe i had back in 1997 and sold in 1999 with about 190k on it. It was for the most part stock with 16x7.5 MHT Splitz, pacesetter exhaust, sony head unit, sony 10 disc changer, 2 JL Audio 12W0 subs, 2 crossfire amps. It was a awesome car and was great to me with all the miles i put on it.

The pictures were scanned so they are crappy. But the red coupe was when i first go my second coupe which i looked at about 6 others and settled for this one even though it wasnt what i really wanted. As most of you know it was almost stolen and lost all my old stereo stuff so i gave up on that and got my 3rd coupe which is gone great so far as far as modifications. But i still have the 2nd one and plan on getting a 4th one as a better daily driver to replace the 2nd one.

Yeah but back in 97 people laughed at me for hooking up a Honda around here. But the funny thing is all my friends turned into honda fans after the big honda boom hit over here soon after. But i really liked the white coupe a lot and it was fun when i had it. If i was smart i would have kept that and waited till i found a nicer Lxi or Sei and kept the white one as a daily driver. The 2nd coupe slowed me down a lot with constant repairs and problems. But you live and learn from your mistakes and i would never rush into settling for another accord unless it was mint. My nice coupe i found by accident and had to buy it even though i was not looking for a car.

Yeah i know a lot of people dont care for chrome rims but i still like them because i have yet to find a wheel that will last or hold up well. My chrome rims were mint when i sold the car after 2 years. The only negative thing is weight but i still contemplated about getting some again but i do like the newer styles out there its just hard to find some that dont have a clear coat that will peel and dull. My C2's were ok but i took really good care of them and the clear coat is dulling and one part has started to peel.

Oh and i had a 90-93 accord spoiler on it as well which i plan to use on my other coupe also.

Yep I love Chrome. Lasts long and is tough. Our cars aren't race cars is why I don't get why so many try to get light weight wheels. It's retarted. Chrome simply looks the best.

I think i liked the rims a lot more cause they were wide as well and i dont remember what tire size i had but they rubbed in the rear a bit. I wanna say they were 225/45-16 and the MHT's had a lifetime warranty on the chrome finish. Maybe i will have to make a replica as my daily driver with my other B20A.

I see Mike is firm on only chrome wheels i like a lot of them but they have to be high quality. Im glad i got the C2 Evo's first cause i was going to buy the real C2's for about double what i paid for the one piece wheels.

    Thanks for the compliments!

Ya I've always been a chrome person. But I could careless about weight. I have spent a pretty penny on the 3 sets of chrome wheels I've owned, including what I have now. I do like some silver wheels.

I personally like my MHT's and would consider them again if they were still available but not for my turbo project. I liked them mostly cause the were easy to clean and very very durable. I guess i was disappointed with my Racing Harts at how they dont keep a good finish and i baby all my stuff and used the proper cleaner for them because of the clear coat on them. But i will have to see how it goes when i finish my turbo project cause i will be buying new rims for that car so the C2's will be left over.

I wish i had better pictures of that car and took more pictures of it. But the first picture was ok but i didnt ever get any good close ups. To bad it wasnt an Lxi cause my car would have been done a long time ago. Basically i saved up for a paint job back in 99 but decided to get a Lxi/Sei after i saw a friends Sei coupe. And after that i just didnt make any major progress cause i spent a lot on repairs/getting ripped off by a ghetto mechanic. But if it wasnt for him i would probably not know what i know now so it worked out.

$2300 back in 99 with 190k on it and the dumb ass gave me an extra $100 by accident. I felt bad for keeping it but he got a deal i paid $2300 for the car when i bought it and the rims/tires alone were $1600. But i put a lot of miles on the car with little maintenance so i was happy.

I just started looking at other accords and the prices have dropped a lot cause i was use to paying $3000 for a nice one but now they are in the lower 2's. So i may pick up another one eventually to turn into a daily driver with a N/A B20A in it that is sitting in my basement.
