buy some carb cleaner at canadian tire or somthing.. then read the instructions on the back of the can.. dont waste time and money on fuel additives

Thanks i'll check crappy tie tommorow.
I used GUMOUT carb and choke cleaner
You can spray it while the car is running but I would do the the first application while the car is off so the cleaner has time to work... if the car is on most of the liquid will get sucked in.
They also have foam cleaners, not sure who makes em though.
if there is lots of buildup on the throttle plates you might consider removing the carb to clean... or get a pipe cleaner brush and srub the plates down.
Also after replacing you fuel filters and letting the car run for a while you should open the top of the carb and whipe out the float bowl. Try not to mess with the float or float screw while cleaning the bowl.

How often should you spray out your carb? I use mine to drive to work everyday, 30 miles each way on the freeway.
is it running rough? have you done it in the past 10 000 miles? its worth a try.. never know what will happen

A little bit. If I was prepping a car for an Echeck I would do this.Originally Posted by skull1441

I have used several, but always seem to get the best results with Valvoline carb/injector cleaner...it comes in a fairly big can, and a good spray applicator, and it cleans like a mo-fo !!!...the only thing I would put in my gas tank is methyl hydrate (gas line antifreeze), to disperse water in the tank, and in your case, the carb float bowl.
My other Honda has 2 more cylinders, and 2 less wheels.
Carb-medic will clean what gumout won't. Its banned for sale in california
