This time with a possible fix a few of you may want to check into.
Heres the story. The bastard hatch was getting about 240 miles to a tank I'd be at about 110 on half a tank. Of course this car is about as GHETTO rigged as it gets(not my doing fixing it a lil at a time) Anyways the timing was way off, at TDC on the flywheel I was pointing at almost 4 o clock with the cam gear up mark. Fixed that still the same mileage. New NGK iridium plugs and NGK wires still the same. Put my AEM CAI on, still same. DC header and still same. Anyways I went to get gas 2 weekends ago just down the street then went straight home. I always top the tank all the way to the top of the filler neck, just something I do. Anyways the car parked at an angle in the driveway and the next morning my some comes in to tell me its leaking gas, big puddle comming from the gas door. Changed out my gas cap and noticed the seal was formed kinda funny. Anyways so far on 3/4 of a tank I've gotten almost 300 miles so whether my mileage was so shitty because of evaporation or because the fuel system wasn't sealed like it should is beyond me, either way its doing alot better.
