Thanks Vern!!!!!!! You Are Awesome Btw. Let's Put Them On This Weekend, And Take Some Pictures!!!!
wires are 37 + shipping. they look good. is the part number shown on the site for the 10mm wires? i might have to pick up a set!!!
Why would you buy 10mm wires, do you have a race engine in the car??? Because that's the only reason you should be using 10mm wires on our cars..... The largest wires you should be running is 8.5mm and THAT's with a aftermarket ignition system.... I know a lot people think that bigger is better but not in this case...
the price on the website is for 7mm i think. that is a retail price.
Why not, bigger wires = less resistance. Less resistance = More Current. And then gap plugs accordingly.Originally Posted by joker2
How do you figure that you get more current with bigger wires and a stock ignition system, it doesn't work that way.... You won't even come close to producing the spark for a 10mm wire.... Why do you think the stock wires are only 7mm??? If you are concerned about resistance than just get a good insulated pair of 7mm wires and you have just accomplished your goal....
can you find that vht shit and any auto store? you going to use it on your tails? what ever you use it for can you post pics? im intrested in how they look.

Please explain your logic to me. Here's what I have learned from my Eletronics and Computer training and from working in the field. All wire has some resistance in it, doesn't matter how short or what gauge the wire is, there is always a minute amount of resistance. When you introduce resistance voltage and current go down. Anything you do to lessen that restisance causes your voltage and current to go up. And yes the ignition system is expecting a certain amount of spark and to much or to little will actually hinder performance so if ur providing more then needed you can shorten the spark gap. But the idea here isn't really to just get more current to your plugs but to get a more accurate spark each time by upping the amps and closing the gap.Originally Posted by joker2
