The 5.1 setup is almost complete

Along with rewiring every piece of stereo equipment in my car and installing the new CD changer, I scored a Clarion 2" center channel speaker. It comes with it's own amp so all I've gotta do is mount it, wire it up and plug it's preamp into my processor's center channel.

My friend has a portable DVD player so we'll give it a proper shakedown with some LOTR action. I also picked up a DTS audio cd to show the system off. Yes, pics will follow when everything's in place.

So... hopefully before the end of next week I'll be entering the world of 5.1 mobile audio :cool2:

Here it is, the elusive center channel.

    It's a Clarion SRK601.

Everything's installed and OMFG it sounds superb!!!! The circle surround blew my friggin mind and I can only imagine what DTS is going to sound like. Absolutely worth the time and work put into it.

I guess I'm the first 3geez member to have full theater sound in-car. I feel so proud

I am going a different route. Going headless. Taking output directly from pc sound card (Audigy2 ZS) and fm tuner card to amps. All controlled with touch screen interface. Should make for some great sound. Currently have surroiund, but its run through the head unit. Fast and furious is awesome.
