It's one of the silly filters ppl place on their valve covers.. silly crap!
I'm selling my K&N one for $15
It's the little filter above the "H" on my valve cover. It regulates and vents out air from under your vavle cover a bit more easily I am told.

That's got to be the cleanest living DX I've ever seen.

Nuffice I would like to know what you do for a living? B/c I'm in school to be a mechanic and I even know that the breather filter is better most of the time. I know with my accord it seemed to idle a little bit better. My suggestion... it's perfectly fine to be a critic but you need to back it up with some facts. Instead of just disagreeing with people.
I wrote a response, but somebody sent me a private Msg and shut me down.. strange.. next time.Originally Posted by Mike's89AccordLX

I hope that includes shipping.
anyways keeping the hose form the valve cover connected to the air cleaner helps the gasket seal better. but if fumes are building up in the head you probably have something leaking like a valve guide/seal.

It's all about preference. Some people like them some people don't that's something you have to find out for yourself.
If you want to remove the hose then get the breather... If you don't mind having the hose there then leave it alone.Originally Posted by soljaboy2000

i dont reccomend getting one of those breathers. ive found that there can be simple problems with that. oil can clog up the little thing in the valve cover and make oil pressure act up. dont know if everyone has seen that happen but that was something that happened to someone i know.

Dunno, I've never had a problem with my breather filter and I've had mine for several months. It made my car idle a little better. I personally would have liked to keep the regular stock piping, but it fell apart and I didn't want to get a new or junk yard one. I've never heard that they degrade engine performance.
