B20A info Again...

Hey guys, i searched the FAQ but didn't see anything...but what i did see, mixed me up. lemme know if i got this correct

from what i gathered,
2 versions of the JDM B20A...

-160hp and 140ft.lbs torque (Accord/Vigor?)

-143hp and 126ft.lbs torque (Prelude?)

both are 2 liter DOHC motors but how such a differance on numbers with the accord/Vigor motor?? different cams, intake, exhaust manifold between the two? anyone got any dyno numbers on the 160hp version?

Also, what is the redline and compression ratio on the JDM B20A Accord motor?

you are wrong about where each engine goes.
JDM version of Accord/Vigor and Prelude had 160hp motor.
In Europe, accord and Prelude had 143Hp motor.
i don't know the compressio ratio, but i am sure it is 10:1 or higher. rev limit, i think it is just like A20 motor around 6.5K-6.7K

When refering to the Prelude model, it can be realllly easy to misunderstand things.

The 2nd gen prelude and 3rd gen prelude both had B20As but they are completely different from the outside.... but they share the same internals (or close to)

So what everyone here is saying is tha the Acura Vigor had the B20A in it? the B20A that is saught after here for the common swap?

JDM 1 gen Vigor looked just like 3g accord. it had B20A motor.

if you want a dyno chart of a stock B20A visit pauls website.

You want a member's dynochart, ask Foobari or search for his newer posts. He is in Europe and hence has a B20A.

thanx for the info guys! hmmm...whats the addy for pauls site? im figuring stock numbers should be about 135-140whp and 125-130ish torque to the wheels?
i sourced a couple b20a's here going for $400-500cdn for motor and $300cdn for 5 speed tranny. ecu i had no luck finding yet. I hope to get this swap done asap then start on the suspension. i will keep u guys posted!
