Konis and springs out of a 1st gen Legend?

I was wondering if anyone could fill me in as to whether or not I could swap a full set of Koni reds and some lowering springs out of a first gen Legend and into my 88 LXi hatch. All the suspension pieces look the same on both cars. I figure that the spring rates might be a little stiffer in the Legend (because it's a tad heavier), but I don't think that would matter too much. Even if I had to use different springs, I think the Koni's would work because of their adjustability. I can get an awesome deal on the springs and struts but I need to act fast before someone else gets them. Can anyone think of problems with this swap? Any insights would be appreciated.

if it fits the only problem i am thinking is the ride quality, those v6's are heavy! so i dont' know how thats gonna work.....with the stiffness of the spring and all
