i was wondering, when you get your car painted, doesnt the engine bay remain your stock color making it look very wierd when you open your hood?

it depends on how you wanted some body shops will pull and paint it. Are you wondering about the door jams too?? They also get painted if you do a "color change"

You don't have to paint the engine bay and door jams, alot of people just respray the exterior and call it good. But it kind of dumb to do that because as soon as you open the door someone sees that your car was red when the body is silver, but you do save money but its not worth having a mismatched car.

If you spray a similar color you can often get away without doing the jams or the engine bay.

    Example: 3G blue to non-metallic 4G blue.

You could also spray bomb some of those areas flat black.

just do it like mario did and mask off the inside of the car and do the door jams too. Even do the trunk. He went from burgandy to gunmetal and it looks GOOD. The engine bay is still the other color. it wont stick out like a sore thumb as much as not having the door jams painted would.

No. It's on a slopping driveway and the springs are new and haven't settled yet. It does look pretty strange in this pic though.
