O.K. I've searched plenty and really haven't come up with much...I know Dc made them...good luck finding one... so my question is......
Has anyone tried to make a front strut bar from another car? I heard the 90+ accord won't work.

Make one. Test fit a civic bar and drill your own holes. I know there was a how-to on this site somewhere.

From my searching the civic bar will not work....
i think it depends on how much work you want to do. Im seriously thinking of just shelling out the 25 bucks for front and rears from a 92 civic and seeing how much work it'll need. If worse comes to worse, i'll just sell em to my buddy who has a civic like that.
DC still makes them, but they'll cost you an arm and a leg. I wish i had bought Alex's off him before he sold his 3g.

I don't care how much work it will take, because I'm good at working with my hands and stuff like that.....but if i have to get more parts fack that!
if you've got a few extra bux, get a 92 civic front bar off ebay and maybe even a 4g and see if they'll fit.

I don't want to waste alot of money if they won't work. I'm sure someone has to have tried something and gotten it to work.
I thought i heard back a little while ago that a civic bar and newer accord round parts that bolt to the frame will work if you put them together.
im making my own.. single bar across, then a V from the intake manifold to the firewall...
maybe even somthing from the subframe to the body...

My Accord
i had one on my fiesta that was super simple, yet strong as hell and looked good.
It was a 3/4" pip that was bent to angle toward the firewall (it actually rested against the firewall) and had two C shaped pieces at the end to bolt it to the strut towers. I just wish i had access to a pipe bender and a welder so i could make one.

Is where I got mine, paid $140 or so if I remember right, it was the cheapest I could find. I just didn't have the time to try and put one together.
Hope this helps.

I have the Civic bar and some people have got it tp fit but what what I have seen it is a miracle they got it on and it works. On the cheap bars they have a bolt threaded at each end, if you could find some longer ones with the fish eye the civic bar would work and be realible cause as is that bolt is only threaded one turn into the bar, which means it is EASY for it to come out. Also I guy was able to get a 94 teg bar to work but I'm not sure how hard it was.

Why can't you find any DC Sports strut bars??? They still make them and you can get them from nopi.com and a few other online places, and I'm sure you can call DC Sports and order from them... I got one over the summer from a local shop and it ran $150 and fits absolutely perfect...

something is wrong with the damn SEARCH, I can't find that thread about the teg bar. But when I was looking I guess CIVIC 1992-200, DEL SOL 1993-1997, INTEGRA 1994-2001 all use the same bar. :pissed: I also found that if you use the APC civic/teg brackets with a APC 4g accord bar it will work.

$150 is a bit much for a strut bar IMO when you can get em for any other car for less then half that......

I paid $40-50 bucks for the one I used.
