    Intake Manifold Performance?

    I am going to buy a used ,but in great condition,intake manifold w/ throttle body.would it do any good to ceramic coat the inside?Also,can I bore or hone out the throttle body and intake?Thanks for any info.Matt

    If you really want to improve your intake manifold people will do extrude honing with an abrasive paste. Ceramic coating would more than likely be too smooth and create a drop in velocity. Rough surfaces would create turbulence and keep up the speed. I think commonly people would match port the intake ports of the head and intake manifold.

    People do "ceramic coat" the exhaust ports of the head to reduce head tempetures but very uncommon to hear people ceramic coating an intake manifold.
