    Question speakers

i wanna get a better system in my car. nothin super powerful tho. i was wonderin what are some good 6x9 and 6.5" speakers that require little or no modification to put in my car. i have some jbl 6x9s, but the holes for the screws dont line up. so any suggestions wht i should get for the front and back? thanx.

I am pretty sure that yes. They all will fit. Corect me if I am wrong, but there is a standart holes for the screws on those. Or you can just make lil holes on your JBLs using a drill....or even a screw driver.

try not to get legacy or sony or those NO-name speakers, because you will not be satisfied with them.

I have Pioneers all the way around. TS-163P 6&1/2s in the doors, and similar 6x9s in the rear. I want to say TS-160P, but I know that's wrong. A small word of warning: the 6x9s didn't fit completely. I had to bring out the dremel and attack the pods to make them fit. The pods were less then 1/4" too small in certain spots.

Legacy and Pyle are very good speakers. All I have in my car is Legacy, besides the H/U. I have never owned anyhting but Legacy and I will never own anything else but Legacy.

I have pioneers all the around, the 6.5" fit perfectly, but I used a drill just to enlarge the rear pods just a bit for the 6x9s to fit in back

i have all Alpine system. I like my alpine speakers. i had to cut the basket in the front, but that didn't take me that long.
not every aftermarket speaker will fit perfect because a lot of them have larger magnet. so you may have to do some tweaking to make it fit.

i'm running the pioneer TS-D160R 6.5's in my civic and i love them. just two of those speakers hooked up to my HU with a sub is loud enuff for the HB. it doesn't sacrifice sound quality for bass response also. with the bass turned down, it sounds really clear. and of kose, if u need bass, it's there.

I just got some Focal Polykevlar 136K speakers. They are 5.5" componants, and are just awesome!

Out of all the speakers I have ever heard, Focal's sound the best, and the cleanest. I just need to amp my speakers and I will be set.

The shop had some trouble mounting the tweeters, but ended up building out pods on the a-pillar, and had to make an adapter plate because the stock speaker mounting space was for a 6.5" speaker.

Why does this thread seem so familiar? Well anyways, give MB Quart Discus series a try if you are looking not to spend much money but still get a good sounding speaker.
Thinking about getting a new 3g...
