You should be able to get by on the stock pump if you use 40's

you should be alright, but you may see some lag when it comes filling the webers with fuel. i would say try something that has a lot of flow. you don't need a lot of PSI. 4-5 max would be alright.

if u use ur stock pump ur goping to get flat spots in ur acceleration so i recomend u get a fuel pump wit high volume not pressure 4 psi is recommended wit webers not 2 psi and a regulator if ur going to tune it in wqit other mods that ur getting.

I bought a Carter 72 GPH 3-6 PSI pump and im' running a holley 2-5 PSI adjustable pressure regulator set at 4 PSI. The stock carb fuel pump on my 85 prelude only puts out like 2.5 PSI max pressure. I'm guessin the same would be on your accord

    fuel pump

i use facet red top competition good for 3-9psi and 46gallons hr i think suppose to be best for output from 200bhp upto 300bhp worth changing as their so cheap mine was 69.99 english pounds including 17.5 percent tax, some people use two for extra backup which i'm thinking about doing! or 1 per carb in competition use but honda one is hopeless if it were a stock engine fine but you have a cam, exhaust header/system with webers on top your gonna fly with your 5 speed swap get a good clutch because it's gonna slip real bad especially as u have all that extra weight from dvd and sound system. also go for highes rated pump price difference is next to nothing.

I ran a stock fuel pump when I had 40's on my car and didn't have any problems with it. I had a cam with headers and full exhaust. The stock pressure is something like 2.5-3psi. When I went up to 45's I had to up the pump. I went with a holley red w/ low pressure regulator set at 4psi and I ran 5/8" fuel line and tank pickup as well.

so the stock pump should be ok with 40's. but if i get 45's i should get a bigger pump, like 4-6 psi? does that sound right, after what everyone said? thanks

aslo how and what kind of fuel pressure regulator should i get or need?

Anything much over 4psi and they will flood without special aftermarket ball valves. Webers need volume, not pressure. I use a holley pressure regulator, what ever low pressure regulator, it doesnt really matter that much.

the needle and seats are not designed to take more psi. The ballpark figure is .23 x HP with a dead head fuel pressure regulator. So basically if your running 150 HP you only need aprox 34.5 gph.

Flat spots are not caused by the float bowl not filling. Jetting is the solution for eliminating flat spots.

If you get larger carbs your still gonna use aproximately the same amount of fuel but consumption will go up if you modify the engine some more.
