Oh there will still be enought room for that, that was a big consideration when I was thinking of how to do this since originally I was going to extend that trim piece out farther. Obviously that wouln't work since u would have to reach under it and really far back to get to the latch.

Put the subs facing towards the opening of the trunk and you will get better sound. Just an FYI.

I know that, they are like that so I can throw shit in my trunk and not worry about it smacking into the subs while they're moving.
