Right now my 86 hatchie is 2 tone blue, its alright. The top half is light blue (original color) while the bottom half is a darker blue, not really dark but enough. I was wondering what you guys think it would look like if I painted it Shiny black, grey, or a color inbetween the 2. My interior is blue. Once I decide on the color I want it to be glossy as hell.

I also want to remove the plastic stripping from the doors and fenders and have it all smoothed out like "KoNEY's" car. The second step will to be to move the antenna from above the drivers side door, to the middle of the back of my roof, and get an antenna from a newer golf (if this is even possible, please tell me if it isnt.)

Removing the side moulding and filling in the holes is called shaving it. I was always fond of the lighter blue on hatches.

The antannae is totally possible, you can even use a OEM VW one.

I like grey on a 3G, thats what mine is. Personally I would go darker, like gunmetal grey. Shaved moldings are pretty damn spiffy, I would do that if I was going to get a new paintjob.
