Ok, I have been wanting to subscribe to the Foundation for quite some time. But the only thing that is holding me back is that it will take away the user status of DX, LX, LXi, SEi, and Veteran. Is there some way that that user status could also be shown along with the foundation membership status? What does everyone else think?

all i want is the ability to customize what it says, but that idea got shot down. I dont see why you're worrying about your status title. the foudation member banner is just like a replacement for that. . . . ..

The LX/LXi/SEi status would no longer be automatically updated, and would have to be done manually each time a user moves up.

thats my point. Does that status really matter? You know how many heated threads were started because of that? Of course, you'd have to have rules maybe, but it would just follow along the lines that this is a public forum so keep it clean.

besides people can still look at your post count and figure it out on their own.
I'm your local R&D nut. Fabracting, welding, tuning and breaking my stuff so you don't have to.
I don't know why you guys make such a big deal out of it. I don't see a reason for it needing to be changed. If it's not that big of a deal, then leave it be. Do two or three letters really bother you that much?
