FS Acura integra gear set/ diff

I will soon swap my Integra gear set for an Accord gear set that I bought from Phydeaux for my turbo CRX, because the integra gears in combination with my power and the CRX's weight makes the tires spin all the way through 3rd with no traction.

So, I am swapping taller gears. Generally the same basic tranny as the Jap Spec CRX's used to have.

What that means is that I will have a set of Acura Integra 86-89 gear set for sale from the tranny that is in my car now.

All except 5th. I need that one since Phydeaux didn't have one for me.

    Is anyone interested in it?

I am in Columbus Ohio, I haven't done the swap yet, but soon I will.

Just seeing if there is any interest..

I only want what I bought the stuff from Pheadaux for, which was a total of 78 bucks. Plus shipping..

This is the 4.214 final drive and closer ratio gears
If someone is local, and has the tranny pulled, I'd help them with the gear swap when I am done.

    LEt me know please.

    Thanks.

"I got the stuff packed and weighed today. The counter shaft weights about 7lbs and will be about $8 to ship. The mainshaft is about 10lbs and will be around $9 to ship. The ring and diff are 17lbs and will be about $11.50 to ship. I just weight the stuff with a bathroom scale and rounded the numbers to the closest 25c. Its a ball park figure but is close enough for me. Total shippin will be $28.50, making the grand total $78.50. I'll take paypal or money order, checks will delay shipping untill they clear.

    andy"

    That's what it cost me.

    That's what I'm looking for.

    Thanks,

"Soon" more or less depends upon when someone wants to buy the parts. It only takes a few minutes to pull the stuff.

They're in the tranny now. But the tranny is out of the car, sitting in my shop.

I just need some motivation, because I'm working on a Master's Degree now, so school work is taking priority.

    Vinny,

Please don't take these message responses like I'm an a$$. I've been busy, so the responses are short.

So you want someone to pay for your shipping and their own? You paid $50 plus shipping now you want $78 plus shipping? Could you explain this to me.

    Yeah, I'll answer it... :cool2:

    I paid shipping

    I was honest about it..

    What's the problem?

I had to buy another Accord tranny for 200 bucks for additional parts to finish the swap 5th gear, speedo gear, bearings, nuts-bolts spacers etc...

And you didn't see that I said I'd help someone put it in

Geez, does 28 bucks sound like a lot of labor?

Not to be an a$$ but I didn't think I was asking too much here...

I was up front about it, I didn't hide anything from anyone.

    Does that answer your question?

Look people, I'm not trying to rip anyone off here, I've been honest and up front.

I told people I'd work with them. I'm not taking all of the loss either.

Try to find an Integra tranny for 78 bucks to do the swap.

    Accord trannys are WAAY cheaper.

Had I put these Integra parts up for sale for $100 bucks without mentioning Phydeaux's deal, would you have asked me about this? Probably not.

Is it against the law to put down a price?

If you don't like the price, don't chastize me. I'm offering it. If no one wants it, well I guess I'll keep it.

By the way, these are the Integra parts, not the Accord parts that I bought.

    Maybe that makes a difference?

Not trying to be an a$$ here, but man, lay off the accusatory tone please... Please don't beat me up...

By the way, these colors and fonts you guys got are great!

couple of qustion though. You drove this tranny? If so was there any probs when shifting ? Any noises or anything that would make you think these parts arent in good working order?

    I drove this tranny, yes.

The synchros are getting weak, they have about 175k on them.

But they tranny still shifted good. These trannys run more RPM's and you rev the 1.6 more, so the synchros take it a little harder. But I never speed shifted. Revs, yes, speed shift no.. That's how you break stuff.

In all honesty, if I were you, a synchro brass kit is like 105 bucks, and I would probably replace them while I was in there.

Real easy to do, then you've got a smooth shifter.

I've driven this tranny from Tampa, FL to Columbus, OH last March with it my CRX. No problems at all.

Like I said I'm not trying to rip anyone off here. When I get the tranny apart, I can show you the pics of the stuff, so you can see for yourselves.

knight, or anyone interested. PM me tonight and remind me to post the part numbers etc for the brass kit. I still have the box in my garage somewhere, the accord and integra kits are the same part.

    blownintegra,
Man you got stuck paying $200 for another trans, that bites. I think honda wants about that for a new 5th gear set. You should have been able to source the rest of the nuts washers and bearings from the integra box. I completely didn't think of the speedo drive. I've got one sitting in the old accord case that I would have just tossed in the box had I been thinking about it.

That's cool Phydeaux. I thought you said you had no more parts, so I figured, why bother you again. Yeah, 5th gear set is like 125 bucks, plus parts etc, so I figured I'd get the whole Accord tranny. That price is just for the 2 gears. Not all the other stuff too.

By the way, these are the Integra parts that I have for sale, not the Accord parts I got from Phydeaux.

They got all kinds of stuff, check it out!

Thanks for all the help guys.

Got the Accord parts now to finish. Just need to get the bugger apart, new clutch and limited slip in there.

PM me with whatever you need.

What did you settle on for a lsd? If you say phantom grip please make sure to the get strongest f*cking springs they've got cause the integra one in stock form barely handles my motor.

I still had the speedo drive sitting in the bell housing. I was thinking actual parts inside the trans when I said that. That thing just kinda sits in the diff housing. Those things are like $1 at the junkyard and take under 5 minutes to pull. The syncro assembly from the integra works with the 5th gear, you could have just reused it. All the syncros, forks, bearings, washers, spacers, etc are completely interchangeable.

I think the Phantom Grip is my only choice..

You're right about the tranny parts. I only realized that most of the other parts would be interchangable after I got the other tranny.

I was pissed at the price of the 5th gear set, so I did something stupid.

At least I have parts now!

I know opm makes one, and I though that either kaaz or quaife did as well. The phantom grip is by far the cheapest, but my n/a motor is putting out more torque then my phantom grip can handle. I have what ever springs they ship the kit with, I know they offer something stronger.
