    Transmission smoked!

WEl it finally happend, today while backing out of a spot at the movie theater i heard a lot of griding and twisting and poping. The goes into reverse and makes all those noises and pops out like its missing teeth. 1st gear goes in sometimes and if the engine speed falls below 1500 rpm it pops out to. AS I limped the car home it continuously made very bad noises as described above. THANK GOD I decided to save my Transmission from the DX parts car last summer. At least I have a Tranny to put in there tommorow! Just thought id share this with yall....

Is that a manual, 86 Accord in CP? Ouch.

I wonder what mine looks like? I can't wait to get it out and open it up and survey the damage. I have no 5th, no 4th, 1st and 2nd are going out, it won't stay in any gear but 3rd (the only one that seems to be fine) and you can hear the gear teeth meshing.... or at least that's what it sounds like. A high-pitched, clicking or ticking in quick succession.

Yeah it is a 86 manuel. I didn't even notice mine getting bad until it went out. I pulled up to my work, and it slipped a little. Left went from first to second then the it happend. When Justin86's tranny went out He couldn't even move his car and the baring in it were flat. Heres a picture
