Bad Powerband or something else

I always blame it on the higher powerban but when I go through town and the rpms are around say 1.5k to 2k and I floor it instead of the tach going up fast it just automaticly (sp) jumps straight to 3k and kicks you into the seat, is this normal or do I just not have any go below 3k¿

With smaller motors, especially Hondas, you need to rev up to get to go much. Its normal for any 4 cylinder to not make too great of power below 3,000 rpms.

it's the same for my car. under 3k is like "c'mon, c'mon, c'mon..." and then at about 3500 to 4000 it finally feels like there's some balls under the hood. headers and reground cam should fix it up for you though.
