    Factory foglights rebuilding....

Well I know they're not from the accord but I'm certain that the Accord and Legend factory foglights are the same thing. I paid $10 for this busted up pair. I noticed that I will have to do a little more repairs than I first thought. I will have to obviously fix the broken glass problem by replacing it with clear plexi-glass. I will also need to fix all of the rusty brackets and make everything look nice again.

    Here's a pics of them. They're Bosch lights too. 12V 55W H3 Bulbs.

Well I think that these are probably the same as what came stock with our accords so I just figured for $10 what the heck. I know I could fix them. The guys at the junkyard were like sucker

But I just wanted a better factory look.

There's a sticker on the back of one of the foglights that says:

    Bosch
    J 305 406 001
666 And then it has the # 507 circled after the 666.
    Made in Sweden

I'm wondering if I could still be able to buy just the foglight housing by just searching for it with the info on that sticker?

I'm kinda iffy about leaving this appearance mod in the performance section... under project central... I know its a project... but I believe we were trying to keep the topics in here performance related... I could be wrong though... I'd have to read up in the rules.

Well I only put it here b/c smufguy had his climate control mod in here as well. That's the only reason I put it in here.

Yeah but it also has the 4G alternator... if it didn't have that then I would have moved the climate control. anyways I'm in no rush to do anything... I'm just letting you know so everyone else doesn't start posting projects not related to performance... can you try and add soemthing performance related... as a second project?

I can't really think of anything right now, it's probably easier just to move it Mike. Sorry about the inconvience. I forgot about the alternator that he was doing.

The first ones Travis posted will not last more than a year, I know. They leak, the brackets are crap.

Well none of those driving lights fit b/c of the dimensions. So it looks like I will have to get crafty and do some custom work.

Those lights are BOSCH Pilots.... I prefer the BOSCH scouts... they are slimmer and fit better I think.

If you want the factory size Bosch lenses find an E28 BMW. I matched up my factory fogs once to the fog lights on my E28 and they look like they have exactly the same Bosch lenses and lens housings.
