So, my local wrecker wants $200 CDN ( about $170 USD ) for a trunk lid with all the lenses / reflectors.
I think that's a little steep, just want to know what you would expect to pay.

Perfection is simply a matter of replacing parts.
im guessing $40-$60 for a trunk each light $15-$25 center trunk piece $10-$20
that's what I's thinkin.

bone yards like to charge for everything
i would strip the trunk completely and just buy the bare trunk and get someone from here to sell u some tail lights i bet u get a better deal here then u do at the junk yard
Yeah, I'm already shopping around. Mine's all busted and rusty, and I can't get one from someone in town because they're all rusty too.

I know my spelling sucks and I suck with computers deal with it.
I already PM'd someone in marketplace. They are in Edmonton too and parting out. What I really need is to buy another SE-i, but one in a 5-spd with no rust.
I'f it isn't too much trouble, could you see how much a 5-spd trans. would be there. I will do the swap if I can't find another car, but my junk yard is brutal and I don't like them.
Don't worry about the ecu and all that, I would just like a price to compare with. Maybe I'll come to Edmonton, pickup all the parts and put them on at a friend's house. We could even have a little meet to celebrate my trans. swap.

I think hkplayer here in e-town is selling his se-i.My wifes was almost for sale.

Thanks. I'll try to get in touch with hkplayer. Maybe I'll buy myself a little grad gift...

Well, I'm glad I asked. I've had a feeling that the junk-yard was feeding me the shaft. I suppose that most people here just accept it because there is only one import yard in town, and all the 3Gs are there.

That price did sound a bit steep. I went to the junker's last summer to get my rear passenger door and I only paid $50 CDN. I know it's not a trunk lid but you get the idea.
good lord, i paid $50 for front fenders, hood, complete dash, and 3 LX-i rims...all i can say is make friends at your local Junkyard

hahaha
Everyone's talking about their great bargains amking that guy look so bad.
its not about making him look bad, more like making that yard look bad, i mean i'ev bought complete running engines from yards for $75 - $100 the tranny in my old sedan was out of a junk yard and i paid $65 maybe its rare part i dont know but it just doesnt seem right

it really depends on what yard to go to and what area you're in. Around where I live 170$ is a little high for a deck lid for that year car, but not by too much, it'd probably go for 100-150$. 75$-100$ for engines is crazy, I don't see how the yard would be making much profit if they are selling for that price. Anyways, check out http://www.rstroud.com that's the yard i work for in Youngsville, NC! stop by if you're in the area! :-P.
u-wrench it's the name of the yard its in st.louis, if you pull the engine its $89.95 and trannys for $79.95, speedway auto salvage near gateway raceway is about the same the tranny came from robertsville auto salavage, it was $50 for the tranny and $15 for the guy to pull it the 500 Caddy thats in my olds was the most expensive thing i'ev ever gotten at a boneyard @ $250 ( 75 eldo carb )
