    TURBO.

unless its built to the hilt you'll probably lose just because a WRX has AWD which is a pretty big advantage over 2WD

But even if the 3G Accord was AWD, the power output of the A20 isn't enough to keep up with the WRX.

AWD is no advantage from a roll on. Of the line, you lose every time unles he stals the bitch. Build the a20 and turbo the damn thing and add a NX intercooler sprayer or a water to air intercooler and tell us how it goes. But for the cost of all that, you could just put a down payment on one yourself.

I'd rather beat one for the cost of a down payment on it.

For the kind of moeny you would have to spend on a 3rd gen, it's not worth it to me. I'd rather own a WRX than have an 88 Accord with all that shit done to it. I learned my lesson. I had alot of money in my Accord. It got hit and was totaled. I didn't get shit from the other guys insurance for it. I even took it to court. I'd rather not get $2K for an Accord I spent tons of money on. The WRX would be newre and you'd get more depending on how much you put down. My Talon is worth $2K more to my Insurance company than I paid for it.

very well said.......its nice to have a sleeper and all...but with the amount of work and money going into the 3g i would also much rather just do the WRX route....just as fast stock with 20 times more potential

race him down a cliff. the wrx's wings will slow him down.

but seriously, it's gonna take a lot cuz the bottom line wrx's for '04 are already 215hp.
and if u wanna mess around with the sti then, well, i'll have money on the sti. i doubt a type-r teg could take it. so chances are a 3rd gen is gonna be left behind.

I would rather have a sleeper car, but thats just me. Anyway, I have beaten the WRX with my LS/Vtec Accord.

im not sure about the potential part... ive seen guys in real life spend $8k on a WRX and only run mid 13s... I mean dont get me wrong but 13s is fast but not for 8K on top of a $25+k car. Nobody would ever think that an accord could be that fast tho, except maybe a few dedicated people in this forum. If you put serious serious money (kinda like the 8K that guy spent) youll never get it back when you sell that car. Not to mention everybody has one... The big plus side to working on a sleeper accord is that youd probably still get better gas milage than a comparable wrx and youd also be paying 86-89 accord insurance (just check a wrx's insurance cost... i did)
