How do i go about tinting my tail lights????

It all depends on how good you are with a spraycan. Right now mine is not perfect, I need another can to even it out. I'll pick one up next weekend. You should consider buying 2 cans.

Ok. I mean is it a dull look? like primer, or is it glossy?

Depends on your local laws. Here in South Carolina anything goes.

It gives more of a flat look, kinda like primer. I was amazed on how much light can be transfered through a black finish.

Yeah its ok stuff somtimes its difficult to work with but it looks nice, and ive never had a cop bother me over it, even though they bother me for everything else.

I used 1 can, but made 3 light coats. Make sure you wet sand the tails with 800 min first to allow better adhesion for the Nite-Shades. You can then clear coat the tails afterwards to protect them.

I bought the car with it on. I'm still looking for a better one though, just want & need other things first.

As long as you wet sand first, you'll be fine & they will turn out great!

Yes you spray the outside of the lens.

I have another sugestion though... If you want that really dark look then VHT is the way to go but I used a transparent dark red paint on mine and it allows you to get that all red look but it stays shiny and the light comes through just as well as it does without the paint. The amount of layers that you spray determines the darkness of the red. This is after it had faded a little bit... You can get the paint at Walmart.

Sorry the file size is huge and the resolution is really large also...

As I was reading this thread the same thing was crossing my mind, and I wouldn't use tint on the tails, it would scratch to easy, all you would need do it get some small stones in the brush that your washing it with.

alot of these cars that have nightshaded their taillights have been a grey or a bluish car color. Im just wondering how it would look on a black metalic car:

Depends if you plan on window tint too then...If you go dark window tint, I suggest the Nite-Shades to give the car a "Stealthy" look. if you go lighter tint on the windows, then maybe the red shading of the tails to give it a more uniform look.

I say there is at most a 10 percent reduction in light, if even that. I was suprised as hell the first time I saw this product used, I think it was on an old Mopar muscle car.
