alright once i finish the hood vents and blister fenders. i haven't really started on those. i cleaned up the engine bay a lil bit by putting a new intake and relocating the battery to the trunk. threw away all the OEM intake junk and battery tray brackets and battery wires. i also installed a rear strut bar to stiffen the rear a bit, and yes, that's custom made too.

well my idea was to change the mirror lenses to mirror-tinted plexiglass with LED's behind them in the shape of a triangle pointing left or right on each mirror. the LED's are bright enough to shine through the mirror tint no problem.

oh so you're talking about the ones with the arrow in the glass. i thought you were talking about the ones with the signal on the back side of the mirror.

4th gen Z3 (m3?) style mirrors will work on the 3g. All you have to do is shave off about 1/4" off one corner of the mounting plate and it'll work perfectly.

Damn bro, that's one VERY clean, nice custom job. We got another artist on the board too eh? Great work. I'd love to see that car too. I gotta make a trip down to FL to check out some of the nice cars down there. I'm now dying to see your car as well as guaynabo's.

As for the mirrors though, why not just hit up a junkyard and snag the mirrors from a car that already has these. Just snag the mirror w/LED's already attached and cut it down to size to fit perfectly in your housing. Either that, or most of the time mirrors are only 1 way. Meaning, if you put a light (or LED) behind any mirror, it'll show through to the "mirrored" side. Try it out to see if it'll work.

i can't wait neither. people would be like whoa WTF is that car? even now most don't even recognize what it is now. haha. i think the blister widebody fenders, projector headlights, custom tails, and the hood vents will really transform this thing. time to get back to work.
