lx compared to lxi trans

is there a difference between the lx and lxi transmissions. which one is better and which has the best ratios

84-87 Prelude Si. The LX-i is geared sportier then the LX, but the prelude is the sportiest. They all have the same case and are interchangable. If you are going to swap the trans might as well go for the lude, it'll cost you just as much as the accord. The 84-85 1.8 Prelude is actually the sportiest, but it requires you to swap the clutch and flywheel from a 1.8 prelude too, the Si's is a direct fit.
