Well out of 5 3g's I have owned it finally happend.My wifes SE-i left us on the highway today.The cluch went.So it cost me a $100 tow bill and a $30 cab ride.And now I have to fix it.
I cant beleive I got stranded by a 3g and it was a SE-i!!!

I know my spelling sucks and I suck with computers deal with it.
well if you had AAA the towing bill would be FREE. they even give you the ride home in towing truck.

Clutches do take shits. So technically, had the clutch not done that, you wouldn't have been stranded.

well you always know that your clutch is fucked up when u drive it often. It slips like crazy and takes forever to engage, and to be honest does not engage at all. Did u not notice it before? im suprised u did not. Did u try adjusting the cable and see if it helped?
my triple a only tows my car for 5 miles for free then i have to pay like 1.75 per mile. i guess i'm a basic member though so for like 30 dollars a year it isn't bad. they've done me good before.
My AAA tows me unlimited for a month to a range of 100 miles and i can call them whenever i want. i have AAA plus membership so its different i guess.Originally Posted by Dennis

No it's the clutch u could smell it it has been going for a little bit now.The realese spring on the clutch bar has been going so it was burning the clutch.

the clutch on my 5th gen is soo bad right now that if you give it moderate gas in 4th or 5th gear the revs walk up but speed stays the same... i hope it lasts a few weeks longer
