    Tokico Illuminas on an Accord

I was wondering if the Illuminas from the first generation Integra will fit on the 3 Gee Accord...I have reason to believe that they will but, was wondering if anybody has seriously looked into it. The way they mount appears to be the same and they only thing I can think that would not make it work is the amount of travel on the strut.

The first generation Integra has tortion bar front suspension... the front struts wouldn't have the spring perches necessary to mount them on a 3Gee, would they? As far as the rear goes... try it and let us know.

Correct, the fronts would not work, no spring perches.

And someone would have to aquire a set and compair them to the 3g struts to make sure that their travel ranges will allow them to even be run. You'd have to check the Illumina's and the oem 3g struts measureing both; lower mount to top of the shaft at full extention, lower mount to the top of the shaft when it's full compressed. As far as what perch to add, Koni's and Bilstien struts use free standing perches that just slip on over the strut, but would the diameter of the bodies be the same?

i comprared the 2gen integra and 3G struts and they are the same except the spring sits on integra strut about 1" higher. so eather get smaller drop springs for the front and use 2gen teg stuts or use teg springs.
